Default Frsky Horus 10S express purchase considerations

Saw a beginners group for the Taranis, however, I am unsure if it helps HORUS users.
Before beginning. Long time RCer. All airplanes but one need only 7 channels or so. My gasser needs 9 channels. Running Lemon DSM-2 receivers with JR11XG.

1. I see no information on the internet for a "beginners guide" to using this radio. I am speaking of the Frsky basics where I buy the Frsky receiver(s) and can get out flying quickly. I understand the OPEN TX is another completely different issue/hurdle to climb. Is there a beginners guide somewhere?

2. Alot hobbies HORUS manual (hardcopy 17 bucks or so). Worth it? Does it cover the basics to get flying? I can always dive into OPEN TX later.

3. What do I need (for one plane) to get started buying all Frsky stuff to do the following:

Transmitter (obvious)

Receiver with telemetry and stabilization, 9 or more channels.

anything else I need?

4. What's the difference between a Horus X10S and a Horus 10S?
