Hitec HS 81 throttle servos on 30 %
Hello everyone
been out of the hobby for a 20 years and started building again, wondering about using HS 81 servos on throttles one will be my magnum 120 4 stroke other will be a saito 220. i have 4 bran new ones kicking around so was thinking could cut some weight there.
Thanks
Kevin

That's the wrong place to save weight. HS-81 servos have very small gearfaces. Throttle linkages have a lot of vibration on them.
Get yourself a standard-sized servo, one with big gears, to take that abuse.
I have a 45" plane with 4 HS-81s in it on the control surfaces. The throttle servo is a Tactic TSX25 - much larger, much stronger.
