Default Shift mod for GWR-4P Rx

Hi folks. I've been reading old posts about "shift".

Has anyone converted the J version (positive shift) of the GWS model GWR-4P single conversion receiver to an F version (negative shift)? I suspect that there is just an inverter enabled on one or the other, but haven't pulled the shrink wrap yet. I've got the scope to probe around with if necessary.

BTW: this is about learning, not being "cheap". I already bought the "right" one for my Tx. This Rx came in a package deal, so is "free" for experimentation.

I would also entertain a mod to a spare Hitec Focus4 Tx to make it positive shift, if easier. Or better yet, switchable. I see that the encoder board is separate from the RF board and gather that the PPM signal just needs inverting before going to the RF board?
