Default Futaba 3PJS PCM crystals ??

I posted this in Futaba specialty section, but wondering if others might know...

I want to use my 3pjs 3-channel Tx radio with multiple boats/cars. I have one R113ip 3-channel 75 mhz receiver with a (blue label) channel 82 crystal that matches the blue labeled one in the Tx.

I just ordered/received another R113ip rx, but it has a BLACK label ch. 82 crystal.
Both the black and blue crystals appear physically identical.
I bench tested the black label Rx crystal, and it works.

Q #1: Is the blue labeled crystal defined as the "short" style?

Q #2: Is this black labeled crystal compatible with the blue label Tx crystal for actual use? Or do I need to get another blue label ch. 82 crystal?

Tough call without having Futaba's insight as to the color code. Check with Futaba's service center to be sure.

If nothing else a range test is in order to validate the integrity of your system. If it works it works. I'd suggest an engine off range test and then an engine running range test with the engine running at least half throttle. If there is a significant range difference you most likely have a problem of some sort or another.
