JR 10 SX Transmitter install Ham Module
Can I install a 50 or 53 MHZ ham band transmitter module in a PCM 10 sx transmitter that has a module on channel 30 in it? I have a Tech license.
If so I assume I'll just need to buy a receive to match. Is it necessary to send it in to be tuned?

I don't know if JR makes modules for the 10sx on HAM frequencies, but if they do, you can install it in your Tx no problems. That's why they made radios with modules... To easilly switch band or channels.
You will need a new receiver however, as you cannot usually change the frequency band of a receiver.

Yes...I have all the 53mhz and have matching receivers. Also channel 12 & 15. No tuninig needed. Change and fly. Be sure to check modulation PPM, PCM S or Z .

why would anyone want to use a ham in a radio. Obviously living in the swine state has taken its toll on you! Although the honeybaked hams are tasty, try that.
