Default Servo Brands

What's your favorite servo brand, and why? Have you had a specific brand you've had good luck or bad luck with?

Man, that's a troll if I ever saw one! Why don't you say "Hey, let's have a flame war!" LOL

Seriously, I have had all the brands over the years, never have I had a complaint about a brand in general. I like Futaba for standards, GWS for small stuff, Hitec for the big stuff. That's mostly based on cost vs overall quality as I experienced it.

I am solidly sold on Hitec. I use their HS-55's in my parkflyers and their digitals in almost everything else. I haven't had a problem yet with any of their servos.

Flyfalcons was telling me all sorts of horror stories about HiTec servos. Personally, I love mine. My laser 3D Has 425s and a 475. My 25% Sukhoi has 5475 Digitals. Never had one fail, and they're affordable!

I have Hitec servos on some of my smaller stuff like my T-33 jet, and am happy with their performance. I also like GWS servos for my parkflyers. I do not trust the 56xx series. For my big stuff I am happy with Futaba and JR.

Been flying for 3 years now and haven't used anything but Hitec. I like 'um. Plus they're affordable. Oh wait, I've also used GWS mini servos with no problems.

On a park-flyer sized electric I fly, I have (3) GWS Pico+ BB and (1) Hitec HS-55. The HS-55 has developed a jitter at center, the GWS servos are still solid. I was a bit leary about using the GWS servos, but they are holding up well....this thing gets flown hard.
