Default can i trust hitech 700 servos on D.P edge? - please help

i want to put the hitech 700 on a dave patrick edge plane.

i think the power and speed are more than enough.
they are a bit bigger but i dont care enlarging the holes for the servos.

here is the tech. information:
Operating Speed (4.8V): 0.22sec/60 degrees at no load
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.17sec/60 degrees at no load
Stall Torque (4.8V): 138.87 oz/in. (10kg.cm)
Stall Torque (6.0V): 173.58 oz/in. (12.5kg.cm)
Dimensions: 2.32" x 1.14"x 2.04" (59 x 29 x 52mm)
Weight: 3.59 oz.. (102g)

i have never had hitech servos so i would like to hear your advise...
thank you very much
roy

Bad choice (except for the rudder, and even there its not the best choice)

These servos are huge and heavy. Consider using the 6xx series or their digitals.

I would agree the 5645 or 5945 would be a much better choice than the 700. The 700 is a 1/4 scale servo that would probably be better suited for a scale model like a cub.
You want to keep the weight of your plane to a minimum and using a bunch of 3.5oz servos isn't the way to do it. The 5645 digitals cost about $55, are programmable and provide ample torque for planes up to 35% scale. If it was me I'd use the 5645's on the elevator and ailerons, 5945 on the rudder and a good quality analog servo on throttle

For servos and receivers you can try www.chiefaircraft.com or www.towerhobbies.com

Theres a guy on e-bay I believe his store nameis toms rc simulator I've purchased
brand new futaba 7 channel receivers for around 50 bucks, he also has hitec supreme
8 channel receivers for about the same price. Pretty cheap if you ask me.
