What I've done is loosen the throttle ratchet to the point that you can hardly notice any ratcheting. This allows you to put the throttle where you want it, and you don't have to bend the ratchet at all.

hsj,
How did you loosen it?

Well, I finally took the back cover off and found it easy to either bend the ratchet clip or loosen the screw that holds it in. I have it now so it has a nice smooth ratchet feel.

I went a step further since I want to fly both helis and planes with it...

Remove the screw and flip the ratchet hook upside down. When you tighten everything back down you can just barly feel the ratchet effect and should you ever want it agian in the future you just flip it back. I know people that just removed the metal, but you may want to sell the tx to a plank flyer later who wants the heavy ratchet again.
