RE: Wat is the BEST ? ? ?
What can you say ?
My suggestion is that ( if you are a newbie ), go to your local flying school and see what the other flyers are using. Reason I say this is that the chances are at some stage you will be on the end of a buddy cable. Or you will want to be ! See if the club have rental sets for beginners.... But try and make sure that you have some degree of compatibility with the other flyers / instructors.
btw, I am not a flyer but I repair JR kit as a living !!!

RE: Wat is the BEST ? ? ?
I have been flying now for a while, and have thought my self to fly. Im setting up my own club where i live here in ireland, cause there are no actual clubs for about 75 miles. And there is nothing but farm land where i live, and all the locals are starting to get into the hobby.
I really need to know which is a better make of radio, JR or futaba, cause i am willing to spend $1000 on the perfect system. I have been using Sanwa for ages now, bot standard 4 channel and computerised. but on numerious occasions they have let me down. I really need a radio that is not going to let me down and will last a few years.

RE: Wat is the BEST ? ? ?
The computer radio polls taken here will probably show that Futaba has the edge over JR. Futaba has a big line of radios, everything from a 6X to a 9Z. The Futaba 9C is very, very popular in my country.

Okies......
If I may pop a spanner in the works..... If you are going to go for Futaba, check on the availability !!! I have heard a few rumours here in the UK that because Ripmax ( Futaba Importers ) have been bought out and the new owners are cutting staffing levels, there might be a problem in getting hold of them. I may be wrong but I heard this from a techie that used to work for them ( internal turmoil ending up with no-one placing orders back to Futaba )
As I said, I may be wrong ( and probably am ) but check anyway...........
