Futaba S9152 Servo Questions
Anyone have any more info on this servo besides this:
FUTM0212 S9152 Digital Rudder Servo
Dimensions: 1.9 x 1.6 x 1.0 in (48 x 41 x 25.4mm)
Weight: 2.6 oz (74g)
Speed (@6.0V): 0.19 sec/60°
Torque (@6.0V): 277.6 oz/in
What I'm looking for is, what type of gears? Plastic resin, metal?
Any other info is welcome also. Thanks in advance.

RE: Futaba S9152 Servo Questions
A Google search found a German site Here says Combined metal Resinous..so I guess it's a combination metal and plastic.
That's about all I could find..

Thanks much....I never gave Google a thought. Didn't think it would search for servos. Guess I was wrong, it searches for everything else, why not servos?

Actually you can run this one on 6 volts. I not only found some specs for it right here on RCU, but the link given above also says there's no problems with their new digitals on 6 volts.
Here's the info:
Looks like this is the winner for the WH Edge.

RE: Futaba S9152 Servo Questions
I'm looking real forward to these new servos, a little bit nicer IMO then those JR 8611s. Should be nice. Newest thing I see though is the case is all aluminum, no more plastic. This acts like a dust/water proof case and additionally acts as a heatshrink.

I'm waiting for the servo to come into stock. I don't think it'll be before Christmas, but that's OK I can wait.
FMA has been using the aluminum body on their core less servos for years as a heat sink. I'm surprised it took this long for Futaba (or JR) to use something like this. It makes good sense. Hope they come into stock in January. I'm looking forward to this servo also.

Well I guess if Futaba would give some support and answer my original question it wouldn't become a 'discussion' thread. All that would have to be said from the 'support team' is that you don't have any further information and will be posted as soon as possible on the Futaba RC Web Site. Not wait 22 days and then say this thread doesn't belong and give an answer in the same breath. Guess I'll be taking my business else where, Futaba doesn't seem to want to support thier products.
Have a Happy Holiday.
