Default FMA direct recievers- Any good???

I just bought a used lt-40 from a guy at our field. I'm planning on overpowering it and putting it on floats. (I know that's beside the point) Anyway, the guy sold it to me with a JR compatible FMA direct reciever. I've never used these aftermarket electronics. Are they any good?!? I'd sure hate to have this thing crash due to a cheap reciever!

Thanks,
Matt K

Yes, they are very good.

"Aftermarket" does not necessarily equate to "cheap".

Default FMA Receivers

I fly a JR 8103, and an older PCM 10, on 6 meters, ham frequencies. I have several FMA receivers, 4 Quantums a Fortress and a couple of Interceptors. I have had no trouble with any of them. The ground range is extreme in my tests. I have them in everything from fun fly planes to a quarter scale Cub. I would definitely buy another one if I needed a receiver.

I have several FMA receivers, some on 6 meteres ; most on 72MHZ; and all have been superb performers.
