Default Futaba FF7 UAPS Mod for external power

Hi guys...

I have a FF7 UAPS radio that i have been flying with for years, and it is without a doubt, one
of my finest purchases. I also have CSM flight simulation software.

I remember reading years ago, that there was a simple modification (removal of a diode?) to allow external
power to be supplied via the charge jack, so that i dont have to eat up batteries whilst
using the radio for my CSM flight sim.

Does anyone know about this or where the net resource it?

Many thanks in advance...

Goose
