What is the maximum amount of travel you can program the Hitec digital servos for?

I have heard 180 degrees. I am running some Multiplex programmable servos
and I can get around 170 degrees without jamming them up against the
absolute end points.

Maximum programmable end point is 90 degrees in either direction. BUT this is semi dependent on centering the neutral point first. I routinely program mine at 90 degrees full travel with the Hitec hand held unit on a test jig and then move them to the model thereafter. My reasoning here is standardization. In some case I program them in the model.
