Decisions...
Hi everyone. I'm just getting into this hobby and am trying to decide what radio equipments to put my investment on. I'll probably fly both park fliers and glow. So besides comparing futures of the radio equipments, can anyone please comment on JR/Astronics(+) and Fubata/Hitec(-)? Which route should I go? I know it will probably come down to what transmitters I get, but is there any little known fact that I may want to kown (cost, compatibility, fashion trend, etc...). I would greatly appreciate your comments. Thank you very much!!!

I too am just getting into the hobby but maybe I can still help a little.
As for the two big clubs here on Oahu the overwellming majority
have faith in Fataba. Although it really seems much like Chevy's
and Fords. I have selected the Fataba 9C becouse I need a system
to go Ham Band. Aside from that, "I" would look at the Hitec Eclipse 7.
Boy, does that thing look good or what. More chrome then my Harley,
AND it comes with a synth package to let you pick any freq you want!!!
(11 to 60 I belive).
Good luck to you.

RE: Decisions...
Hi. Thanks for your responses. Well, I also notice Futaba is a favorite for many, just look at how many items it returns by seraching "Futaba" on eBay. And always can't go wrong with metalic look! As for the price range, I'm looking for a 6-channel not-so-fancy but oh-so-good radio that I can keep throughout my early pilot career. And I know digital or not all such systems cost around $150 to $250 give or take. And I've done enough research to know the main features on many models, and I believe most of them from all brands can satisfy my needs (when my wallet is still travel size, that is). So my question really isn't about what brand or what model I should go with (of course any input in that regard is appreciated!!!), but rather if I should concern about positive/negative shifts as seriously. Because I'd imagine it could be a pain and more money-spending to have to switch from one to the other in the middle of the road. Thanks everyone!!!
