Radio to control a Crane
I need help for what radio equipment I need to control a scale3/4''=1' working model of a dragline crane that I am building.
The machine has 110v supplied thru a slip ring on the base.
I have 3 90V DC motors that are controlled by Minarik regenerative drives.
Each drive has a potentiometer to control forward and reverse. (control via servo?)
I have 1 in/out clutch function (servo?)
2 band brakes (servo?)
Possible other functions: Turn lights on/off ,horn, possibly on board TV camera?
Would some sort of helicopter radio work for me?

As long as it is a model, you can use any of the 75MHz frequencies assigned to hobby use or; if you are a HAM, you can use 6 meteres as long as you limit the output power to the limits specified by law. I'm not sure what that limit is right now but think it is 1/2 to 3/4 watt into the final amplifier. You can also use 27 MHZ and, in some cases 49 MHZ units at very low power.
