Default Which Reciever?

OK, I have this parkflier and I'm in need of a Rx. There are a lot of opinions (both neg. and pos.) about every reciever, therefore I need to consult you RCU'ers

I'm thinking of buying an Electrifly.

What do you think?

PS- No one sells Berg Rxes OR FMA Rxes.

Electrifly usually has short ranges. What parkflyer are you in need of a Rx for and what Tx do you have??

I have a Eclipse 7.

I'm buying an Rx for my GWS Me109, and plan to use it on other planes.

The Eclipse is by Hitec right? If so try a Hitec 555, of Hitec Electron 6. Both are good RXs that can be used in any plane.

Quite large... and expensive!
I could've bought a 8 Channel Rx.

Any other suggestions b4 I splurge $75 on either?

I can't think of any other small good RXs. Just hang on someone else will jump in with their suggestion.

I have a few each of the 555's and the Electron 6. These are solid performing dual conversion receivers. The Electron 6 is the smaller of the two and the ones I have work flawlessly. Range is the same as with any of the 8 channel RX's. I use them in my electric planes and in a .25 sized plane and have had no problems. I use mostly Hitec equipment.

GWS works good in the park for me and is the cheapest.

I've seen problems with GWS RXs:

The president of the club I belong to was flying a GWS Slow Stick. He put an Anstro brushless motor in and souped it up so that it could hover. He was hovering this thing on Ch 36. I walk by the plane on my way out to the flight line to fly my Fokker Dr-1 on CH 46. As I pass his hovering wreck, he lost all control and litteraly RAN after it to regain signal. This happened twice while the Stick was in my radio control zone. After I landed I ask him to check out what was happening. He turns on the plane and his radio. Then I turn on my radio. My Tx was twice the distance from the plane as his Tx was. When I turned on the plane started shakin' as if it was full of ants. The problem was the GWS Rx he had installed.

ARGGGG

Just came back from my LHS. Says they don't sell 72 Mhz Electrons or Micro 555's. Now I'm stuck in crap!

Any suggestions?

I think I'll go GWS...but then again....

Suggestions please!

You can not go wrong with getting an FMA M5A. If you ever decide to go to a larger plane, you can even use these in quarter scale and the range is phenominal. A great product in a very small package.

If you fly away from population or in a park the GWS will work good.
Or, order the FMA from www.alerc.com
Fast shiping.

True keep away from me and you'll be fine or fly with FMA.
