Default 400 oz-in Servo

I am looking for a RC servo which can produce at least 400 oz-in of torque and has a range of rotation of 90deg(+45deg to -45deg). I am having a little trouble meeting these needs and would appreciate any suggestion.

Any of the Volz servos work? I remember seeing them on a 50% plane at the last TOC.

the only servo you will need is the tone 050 @VANTAC com the servo has +60-60 travel with 900 0z @6 volts.

I don't know if it's any good, but the Hobbico CS-80 has 370 something oz/in at 6V, it's also very fast and only costs THIRTY BUCKS!
What a deal! Does anyone know anything about it? Jordan

The Hobbico CS-80 is the Hitec 815BB with a different label. Thats the only difference lol

A great servo many people use on GS rudders is the Seiko servo, pushing some 1800ounces of torque I believe, but that is for multiple servo surfaces where the torque is needed.

Right now, best bet would be Futaba 9152's, they have 277 ounces of torque with a extremely strong aluminum outer casing and metal gears. I bet it could handle your application well, depending on what you need it for.

That 70% Staudacher at the last TOC used Seiko servos.

Check out this web site...they are using the 815 in a special ad on gear drive system that can deliver ome fantasic torque output...it might not be exactly what you are looking for but it is interesting.
