Default Left handed mode 1 on hitec flash 5 ?

Hi, is it possible for me to change my ailerons to the left stick, so i would have elev+aileron's on the left stick, and throttle rudder on the right ??..Maybe a simple matter of wire swapping in the transmitter, I use 2 x hitech micro servo's for rons so an easy chnnl swap wont cut it!!..

(and yes i am extremley left handed!)

Thanks for any help.

================
Simplest would be to swap channels on the receiver and run the ailerons on a single channel with a y-harness.
What you describe is stick Mode 3. I use Mode 3, and chose a Futaba 6XAS over the Flash 5 because it can be programmedfor any of the 4 modes. It might be possible to move wires around, but there's a big risk of ruining the transmitter. You might ask in the Hitec forum to see iuf they can make the modfor you.

You can dismount the gimbals and move them from one side to the other... (wires may not reach..)

You can pull the ratchet from the left gimbal and put it on the right... and move the spring centering devce from the right over to the left. (fairly easy and never will hurt anything.... unless you drop a screw and it stays in the radio when it gets turned on...) This would have you in left-handed mode. by just plugging the servos as described above.

However... the left handed mode would not be buddy box compatible for a right handed instructor...

You can send the radio in and ask that the channel assignments in the TX be reaigned so that the left handed TX is compatible with a right handed buddy box... If Hitech won't do it... Radio South will. (its not really hard...)

There are plenty of options.

Just a thought... get one of those rubber ducky antennas and just use the transmitter upside down

ok @ troll LOL!, @ fhhuber , yup already moved the ratchet springs ect to get to mode 1, which is closer to how i used to fly many moons ago, @ carrellh, i will look into the 'y' harness idea this sounds like the answer to me .

Thanks all for your input, i have mailed hitec, just waiting on a reply!.

Jim.

For some things I am more left handed than right handed... (60% right handed, 40% left handed... can write with both hands near equally) And I tried flying left handed for a while to see if that would improve things. So I've "played with" these changes before.
