JR 10 SX to 10 X upgrade
I have a JR 10 SX that is 4 or 5 years old. It works well for the helicopters I fly with it, BUT it needs a new left stick (throttle rudder) I hate to be without it while it is in for repairs. I am thinking of just getting a new 10 X in the meanwhile. I realize the 10 X is newer - my question is - can I just download my old settings with a datalilnk fron the 10 sx to the 10 x or do I have to start all over again?
thanks

NO you cant, but when you buy the 10X you will get the DataSafe, now that way you can save it on the harddrive from any 10 series except the ORIGINAL PCM 10....an uploaded it into the new transmitter.

Daniel
thanks for note, I have DataSafe that I store my 10sx setups in. It wasn't incdluded with the original 10sx but was offered later on. I guess the only way to find out will be to try it.
thanks again

You will not be able to download the 10SX settings into the 10X either by the datalink or the files saved by the datasafe...
The data locations in the radio are different due to different features so the programs aren't compatable.

Hum.....the Datasave book doesn't talk about them being not compatible....I guess a call to horizon service should fix the inquiry pretty fast, I was led to believe it was possible.
Sorry, Daniel D.
