Default GWS mini servos on a 40 sized plane?

They say they have 47 oz of torque which should be enough, is it? I can alway move up to 6v, but that takes away from my goal of lightness.

The strength of the smaller gear trains may be a problem. Also, the motor is smaller and may not be capable of long life at the higher currents required for the power required. These are in general phosphorous brush motors which will wear out faster at the higher current requirements.

I have used the mini hitec 225 and stripped a gear in flight. move up to metal gears and you will be ok.

They will work fine. I have them on ailerons and flaps in a 1/4 scale Cap 10 B on 4.8 volts. and they work fine.

Hi,
They will work fine. I have 2 GWS minis (3.2kg) on the V-tail, and one on the alierons of a 40 size pylon model, and they go fine. Though they are just a little slow(.23 sec)
