Default Futaba 9CAP or JR 9X which one is better.

Hi all,
I need to buy a 9 channel radio. Like to know comments on the 9 CAP and the JR 9X.

I was told that the JR 9X is illegal to use in the States it HAS to be FCC approved in this
country. using it invalidates all coverages by AMA including the clubs and
field owner. Is this true?? cant you covert it somehow.

I have been using my 9x here for several months (from england)
The Transmitting is in the module not the radio The radio is simply an interface to the module. Put in a USA certified module (All of them) and it is as simple as that

Personally, futaba gets my money. I have flown JR and helped others with JR and they are good radios, but I like the way the 9C is programmed better. Once you learn it, they work about the same. You would be happy with either. I just like Futaba better personally

But I'm betting you haven't used the 9X, Flyboy.

One thing you'll find is that very few people have used both, and even fewer have used both for more than a brief period of time. How can one say that this radio is better than that radio without personal knowledge and experience? It's not possible to do so.

As with all radio decisions, the best thing to do is go to a hobby shop and try them both for yourself. If you can't do that, try them both at the club. If that's not possible, find out which has the features that you'll most likely use, and go from there.

I sure like my 9X
It is so simple that the last time i looked at the manual was the day it came out of the box. It is straight forward, scroll point and click...done
Thanks
