Odds are that you'd be happy with either.

The E7 has the advantage that you can get the Spectra synthesizer module with it to give you all the 72MHz channels from the flick of a switch (and a change of receiver crystal).

There are some limitations in the mixing available on the E7 (ie: mixing two channels to give you dual elevator channels will result in the trim only working on one -- but hey, why not use a Y-cable anyway?)

Hitec's support policies seem to be second to none and if you want to stick with the one brand, their servos and receivers tend to be better-priced than JR.

But, as I said at the start, I don't think you'll be too disappointed with either option.
