Long Battery Leads
Lots of talk about long servo leads, but what about the battery?
In order to correct a forward CG issue, I need to move the battery pack (6v NiCad) some 25" aft of where the switch and receiver are located. I was thinking of using 20g shielded single conductor wire and soldering the pack right to the switch. Or would twisted-pair be OK? Anybody have any experience?
Thanks,
Scott

RE: Long Battery Leads
Long battery leads work, no real problems that I can recall. Use at least 22 gauge wire with minimal interconnection and a HD switch. Shielded or twisted wire is not a prerequisite for trouble free operations. I would attach an elongated HD minimum 22awg pigtail directly to the battery
