Default JR XP6102 PCM or Futaba 9 Channel PCM 1024ZA

Hi,

I've recently come across the opportunity to buy a Futaba 9 Channel 9ZAS/WC2 for a (relatively) low price of about $500 CAN. I'm a newbie to the hobby, I have only one micro-helicopter and I've scratch built an electric 3D airplane (very small, 26" wingspan, not quite done as I haven't got the power source, batteries, servos, reciever, etc, essentially anthing that will make the thing go) and I plan to stay in the hobby for a long time, both with helicopters and with airplanes. My question is, should I take advantage of this opportunity or save up for the JR XP6102 PCM? How do these two radios compare? Can they be compared? The JR is for the moment out of my price range, but if it is better, should I pass up the opportunity to buy the Futaba which sells for about $1800 at my LHS?

Thanks

Pakiji

The Futaba 9Z is lightyears ahead of the 6102. If you can get one for $500, snatch it!! Either that or tell me who's selling it

Don't buy the 9Z!... send me the guy's address (so I can get it. )

Definitely... the 9Z is one NICE radio!

The 6102 is down near the low end of modern computer radios...now. Decent radio... just nowhere near the orbit the 9Z is in.
