Default Xmtr Analyser/Recorder/Active cable

Announcing a series of FREEWARE softwares to analyse a transmitter signal in real time on your PC.
Ideal to undesrtand your settings, mixers, a.s.o. Graphically displays your angles and forces. You can
view, adjust, move in real time the geometry of a servo and related links to the control surface just with your radio connected.
Good for beginners and for confirmed, with the cable and software, you start a new transmitter setting on the PC, not on your model.
Recording a simulated or a real flight is possible (max 15 minutes, all info from xmtr to rcvr is logged in a file); the playback will show the sticks moving at normal or reduced speed. The way to explain your last acrobatic figure or to refine the way of piloting!
Tested on Hitec Eclipse7, Laser4, Graupner MC20, MX22(all 12 channels visible in real time). Should fit almost all transmitters.
I developped also the active cable, based on a PIC microcontroller. It is quite simple, and harware cost for the total cable is under 10 Euros.
BTW, the cable works with the FMS flight simulator, even under WIN 2K or XP.
You will find the doc, softs, microcode and all info under NEWS/ARTICLE for (simple)PCM at:
[link]http://www.jdm-nivelles.be[/link]
There is an english version of the user's guide with plenty of screen shots in SPCMliste.htm
Happy flying,
Philippe

Default Joystick trim, expo, travel

In the context of the (simple)PCM project, I will soon release a software that takes a joystick as input, shows all values, enables to make all adjustments like a transmitter (reverse, trim, separate travel limitations for both directions, exponential), and creates a digital signal as output.
Input: joystick 1 or 2 (game or usb).
Output: COM1 to 6 with a (simple)PCM data flow, ok for simulator like FMS, and my series of softwares (ref the (simple)PCM doc).
Control of individual channels by the mouse is also possible. This will generate (simple)PCM signals for other components of the project.
Typical setup in one PC: Joystick to game port or usb port, input to my joystick software, output to null modem cable with optional serial to usb converter, input again to simulator or other software, or to another component. You will be able to trim to fly perfectly horizontal, limit movements, put expo to get very small movements near center, a.s.o.
