Servo feedback pot cleaning
I have a number of servos with a jerky movement. I am sure it is caused by a dirty feedback potentiometer. Does anyone know how to clean the pot without totally dismantling the servo?

I have done this by opening up the bottom, and using a LITTLE WD-40, then follow it up with some contact cleaner. It's not too hard to just take them apart, and clean them.

Thanks Jettstarblue.
I bought a can of switch cleaner and treated 4 servos last night. Amazing - they are all now silky smooth including one which would hardly move. I reckon you have saved me about £40. Thanks.
Not sure what the WD40 was supposed to do so I omitted it!

RE: Servo feedback pot cleaning
This is not true of contact cleaners like CRC CO Contact Cleaner.
You may be confusing these products (specifically designed for this task) with cheaper spray solvents that will most certainly dissolve many plastics.
