Default Futaba Computer 6AX

Hey people,
I have a Futaba Computer 6AX radio in a 1/4 scale J3 Cub.
I have plugged one aileron servo into channel one and the other
into channel six to achieve flaperons.
I can bring both ailerons down and that seems to work fine.
And the ailerons function OK.
Rotating the channel six knob in the opposite direction it reverses
the ailerons when rotated past neutral knob position.
How can I disable the knob in the up aileron direction so they won't go
past neutral position yet the ailerons will function normally and still be able
to drop the flaps?
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Bob

Regardless of whether you have the Futaba 6XA or 6EXA, you can't turn off the knob. On the 8U or 9C you could use a Offset mix, but that's not available on the 6-channel systems.

Thanks Bill,
So there is no way to get varible flaps and use the same aileron control surface
with the 6XA?

Thanks Bob

We're not sure what you are asking. With the flaperon function, you do get variable-cambler flaps when you rotate the knob. You just can't avoid having them go up when the knob is rotated the other way.

Bill,
Variable camber is fine; I'm just concerned about the flight characteristics of (reflex?)aileron.
The ailerons above neutral position.
Thanks, Bob

Flap above the neutral point will reduce the lift of the wing, kind of like spoilers do. A little bit will allow a higher cruising speed, but a lot and the model could have trouble sustaining level flight.
