Futaba 7CAP
Hello All,
Well I just got a Futaba 7CAP and then I saw the posts about the timer/throttle stick glitch. Is there a fix for this yet or do I just have to reset my aileron to 100% aftre setting the timer to start via the throttle stick. Also are there any other issues I should be aware of on this radio?
Thanks
Danny

MasterSmasher,
Once I got the timer set to start via the throttle stick and went back and set my channel 1 right end point back to 100% I haven't had any problems. Just make sure to check it before each flight to avoid any disasters.
Mine hasn't gone back to 0% but I check each time I turn the Tx on just to be safe. It really doesn't bother me and I'm quite happy with the radio system.

This problem only appears to have involved some transmitters. Your choices, if you have the problem, are: 1- send it back for free warranty repair as I did, 2- Forget the model timer function and use a separate timer, 3- Just remember to reset the right aileron travel after invoking the timer function (a one-time step). The 7CAP is a great transmitter.

RE: Futaba 7CAP
I found it the day I got home from buying mine at the LHS. Scared me at first but after having the radio in hand a knowing to reset it after the initial programming I'm happy with it now.

RE: Futaba 7CAP
Hi! just bought a Futaba 7CAP noticed a few "things" with mine:
1. is it normal for the battery cover to come off with only a slight bit of pressure
2. is the throttle ratchet soft or hard (when you push it does it move rather easily and smoothly or it the ratchet most definitly defined as it clicks) and is this adjustable
3. the throttle ratchet doesnt quite lie on the center of the center line when the left stick is in the middle
Thanks
