Default Battery port in older Futaba type receivers

Does anyone know if the older Futaba type receivers (Hobby Shack, Gold box, etc.) will allow the battery to be plugged into any other port but the one listed as BATT? I am interested in using an older set for an electric project and it would be great to use an Electronic Speed Control (ESC) Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) on channel 3 for throttle like you can with the modern systems.

Please, Attorneys need not respond

Thanks
Ken

I've been in this game since the late 50's and every receiver that I have touched has all of the channel power leads tied in parallel. In other words, yes.
