Default ARRGGHHHH !!! Stripped servo screw on my Hitec-5945

Hi Guys,
I stripped the servo screw on my new Hitec-5945.

I dropped 2 drops of loctite (as recommended) before screwing the 2" Hitec blue aluminum servo arm. When I had to remove the arm, I stripped the screw and now I can unscrew the servo arm.

Any ideas on how to remove the screw.

Thanks.

Why can't these be allen head screws. Those phillips screws are a pain.

Cut a slot in the screw with a Dremel cut-off wheel, (if you can get to it) and use a straight blade screwdriver. You may have to sacrafice your servo arm to get to the screw.
Next time, just put a dab of silicone or goop on top of the screw so it can't vibrate out. Also if you heat the screw with a pointed soldering iron before attempting to remove it, the heat will soften the loc-tite.

You can always buy replacement allen head screws form Central Hobbies.
Appr. 7$ 100 pcs. Recommended.

Use a soldering iron to heat up the screw-- this will soften up the loctight and the screw will come out.

the stockers are soft junk...even with no loctite, they strip out (the phillips head part)...

the size you want is 2.5mm x 6mm...they are easily had anywhere that sells good capscrews...

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I had softened the loctite without avail.
I was just trying to save a $10 servo arm.

It's a pity that you have such junk screws on a $85 servo [:@]
