Default Futaba 6EXA Tx& Hitec RD3600 Rx

So long as both the Tx and Rx are on the same channel, will a Futaba 6EXA TX and Hitec RD3600 Rx work together?

Looks like Hitec makes several different kinds of 3600 Rx's. One for JR/Air, one for Hitec, and one for Futaba. I already have teh crystal for the channel I am on. I just hope it's on the same shift as the Tx.

Default RE: Futaba 6EXA Tx& Hitec RD3600 Rx

Hitecs labeling and model numbers have always been confusing. The modulation shift and plug configuration is designated by the stock number I beleve. If the Rx is Negative shift it will be marked Hitec/Futaba on the label and if it is Positive shift it will be marked Airtronics/JR spelled out.

In the 2001 catalog the Shift selectable seven channel Supreme is shown as an RCD 3800

The eight channel Supreme in negative shift for Hitec/Futaba is pictured as the RCD 3500 stock number #23572

The catalog is vague but I beleive the positive shift version for JR/Airtronics is the RCD3600.

I suspect that your Futaba radio will not work with the RCD 3600 unless that 6EXA has a selctable shift feature.
