Default Please help me choose

Hi!

I need to buy new radio, for planes. I am starting in 3D probably with Burrito or similar stuff and after flying trainers with some cheap radio I need something better. Radios available to me are

1. Futaba FF7 (7C)
2. Airtronics RD 8000
3. Hitec Eclypse

As I said I will use it mostly for 3D so please can you help? I was looking at RD 8000 but it has dual rates only for ailerons and elevator. I dont know is that enough. What would you choose?

Thanks.

I've got the RD 8000. It's very nice. All the mixing I think I'll ever need.
Igot into 3D around 6 months ago and it has served me very well. Out of
those 3 I would choose the RD. I had a 7c and it had timer problems
so I sold it. I have no exp. with the hitec 7 so no advice from me on that one.
Maybe some one else can help you there. For me hands down RD8000.
Guess that makes me byast.

Of those 3 the 7C. But the 9C is far superior

I know 9C is better but it is simply out of my budget. Notice that I am from Croatia, 9C is (tx ONLY) 580$, and 9C (tx, rx, and ni-cd) is 830$, but those three mentioned are quite expensive too, so I need to make wise choice. I saved that money very long and don't want to just pick whichever radio but the best for my applications (of course out of those 3)[]

I would get the the transmitter with the most channels that fits within your budget. All of the transmitters listed will be serve you well for years to come. My now discontinued Futaba 8U Super would still be my only transmitter if I hadn't wanted/needed to get flight conditions. And I only wanted conditions once I got into larger IMAC airplanes and wanted different setups for IMAC, 3D and landing... Dual rates were not enough...
