Expert SL571 Servo usage
I am considering using the SL571 servos in a new plane. Has anyone used these? I have used may Expert servo extensions but never a servo. The price is great but I'm looking for some assurance of quality.
Thank you,

RE: Expert SL571 Servo usage
I’ve used the SL571 on several .40 - .90 size models. It was a one of the few standard-size servos that had high-torque (relatively) and was still inexpensive. They are made by JR supposedly and worked very well.
I don’t buy the SL571 any more since Hitec came out with the HS-475HB, which has a little more torque still and cost about the same as the SL571. My servos are about 60% Hitec and 40% Futaba, and I don’t want to deal with control horn compatibility with a third brand.
The SL571 is only a few dollars more than a standard 40 Oz-in servo and is a good buy, especially if you have a lot of JR servos already.
