Gymbals- L/R,R/L ? JR X378
G'day guy's(and gal's)
I've just got myself a JR X378. Very impressive radio. I downloaded the instruction manual, did my research and thought, yes! This is the radio I want.
The problem I found is that all diagrams relating to the radio are reversed (even in the manual!!).
I wanted a mode 2 radio and through my research found the x378 to have this.
So... I bought the radio. The big problem is ......is that its actually designed for someone whose is left-handed.
e.g. Throttle/rudder on the right gymbal.
Aileron/elevator on the left gymbal.
I've reconfigured it to Aileron/elevator on the right
Throttle/rudder on the left.
The problem I have now is that I can't use flaperons or the throttle cut function.
The only way I can restore full function of all controls is to swap the entire left and right gymbals
Is this possible? Is it an easy job? or will I have to take it to an authorised dealer?
Any thoughts? Anyone else find this problem?

Sound to me like the previous owner already did something like that. I would open it up and have a look. The gimbles are screwed into place. As long as the wire is long enough, switch them. If you have to break the solder joint I would have someone do it. Either send it to Horizon or maybe a TV repair guy. good luck daveo

It's O.K. guy's,
I've solved the problem. After a thorough going through of the radio, I've found a function called stick.
(Stick is not covered in the manual). After experimenting with this function, I found that it is actually the function to programme what Mode you want. Doh!!!!
All literature in regard to the 378 doesn't say anything about switchable mode types.
So if you want a really good radio....You can't go past the 378. I'm happy now..!!!!
