I'm trying to identify the pinout of the main chip on the circuit board. I have learn some from this post:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/4_to...1958892/tm.htm

But my chip is different then the ones in the links suggested by Olivier.

if you can read your chips part number then look up the maufacturers data sheet. all info should be there.

Is the main chip a NE5044?

No, the chip is not the NE5004. It is a 32 pin chip found in the Futaba Skysport 4 Channel. It has the Futaba name on the chip and has two sets of numbers on it. FP6335 and 310 143100.

For native pinout's, download the Mitsubishi 4513/4514 4-bit Micro data sheet. I think you may find that it is the MCU used in your Tx (it is used in other Futaba models). This certainly won't tell you how Futaba configured it, but it will at least get you pointed in the right direction (Dig I/O, A/D inputs, etc.). BTW, what is the FCC number printed on your Tx?

here's the [link=http://www.renesas.com/avs/resource/japan/eng/pdf/mpumcu/e4513g.pdf]DATA SHEET[/link] for the mitsubishi part that mr.rc-cam mentioned. the 32 pin variety has only 4 analog inputs so i doubt that any more proportional channels could be added...

i did find a [link=http://home.planet.nl/~toore015/RC.htm#_Toc490877710]LINK[/link] though that shows how to add a switched fifth channel...looks easy too

another [link=http://staffi.lboro.ac.uk/~copal/pal/play/radio_control/futaba.htm]LINK[/link] that deals with adding a 7th channel to the skysport6. good detail about the pin-out of the chip, might be of some help on the skysport4

I still haven't identified channel 6 and 7. It may be above my knowledge to add these two. The added channels would be good for the sims. I have been informed that by FCC law it is illegal to use a modified radio in the field. This is just for sims.
