Default Charging question on Futaba 7UAF

Got a question about chargin a standard battery pack on an "older" Futaba 7 channel UAF.

Where the charge plug inserts into the back of the radio, I do not get a good connection. The charge light will not always go on. If I rotate the charge plug it may or may not light up, or if I put slight pressure (sideways)on the plug it will charge.

From this, I can tell it is not getting a good connection. Anyone else have this problem ? Should I send it in to Futaba to replace the connection ? The charge plug will work with another Futaba radio I have, so I know it is not a faulty charge jack.

Also when charging, I leave the radio in a transmitter case and run the charge cord into a hole I made into the case so it will plug into the radio.

Thanks for the advice

Cary
