Default Best $300 value?

Here we go again. I’m in the market for a used Transmitter, receiver. Plane use. Which unit would give me the most bang for the buck. I know that for $300 I can go out and buy a number of different new sets. I’m looking to maximize value and avoid new off the shelf depreciation. Thanks all.

How about a new JR 8103 and R700 receiver for $300? You can buy them on Ebay most anytime. They are brand new with warranty etc.

Buy a new Futaba 9caf (Transmitter and Reciever) (no Servos) for about $279. I see the add in the magazines all the time, but I can't remember who had the special (Bruckners maybe?)

Airtronics RD8000. You can use all other Rx's and it comes with 5 BB standard servos and a 1000 mah Rx battery pack.

Dru.

P.S. It looks like you have 3 vote, all for different radios.

JR 10x is a great radio, if you can find one for $300, buy it.

I misread your post, I thought it said 10x, not 10sx.

The 10sx is out of production, although it has more capabilities than the 9c, I would rather have a new 9c than a used 10sx.

The 9c can handle all the functions that 99% of typical fliers would ever need.
