You have to use a Y-cord if you want to use all four channels. One of the Y-cord leads goes to the fourth channel, the other to the battery. and the third to the receiver.

The alternative is to get a 5-channel receiver like the Berg DSP or the FMA M5. Both of these receivers are smaller and lighter than the Hitec one and they're *much* better at rejecting interference. They are more expensive however, costing about $50 to $55 with crystal.

I don't knwo the JR line. Hitec Micro 555 is 5 channel receiver, dual conversion that is available in positive shift. Weight is about .7 oz. $55 or so plus crystal.

Hitec also makes a 7 channel shift select for about $55 plus crystal.

I use all Hitec stuff and am very happy with it. Those would be my recommendations.

Check out FMADirect.com for info on receivers. They will make them compatable with either positive or negative shift transmitters. I have several and all have been excellent; I highly recommend them.

I read somewhere a couple of days ago that ALL JR RX's are SINGLE CONVERSION. If they are, those JR guys seem to do pretty good with them actually. LOL

I'm a Futaba/Hitec man myself.
