Default Need info about Challenger 720 receiver?

I have aquired a Challenger 720 receiver model HP-7RM72F. It says Aristo-craft on the sticker which I think is now Hitec. It says it is FM dual conversion narrow band. Channel 20. I have a Futuba and a Airtronics radio. Is this receiver compatible with either? If not anyone want to swap or buy?

The Challenger 720 is Futaba compatible. Hi-Tec Xtals work fine in it.

Is it the brown case or the black case model? The brown case model had some problems. Early units used Molex plugs (white funny looking) later units used slimline (JR/Hi-tec compatable).

It is the black case model. It says FM Dual conversion narrow band. It has 7 channels plus the battery socket. It has the new style plugs.

Jerry, I had a few of those myself and had no problems with them. They were made by what is Hi-Tec today.

Good luck - Al

Chris, If you have the Aristocraft 402, or the 402x, servo's then they take Hi-Tec arms. I am not sure about the World version (Expert) but I think they would be the same.

Thanks for the information I have also found that I can order ball bearing from Boca Bearing for the Futaba S148 and replace the oilite bearings that come standard with these servos.

Thanks again Chris
