Default Question for JR 10X radio owners

A while ago I have posted this thread:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_22.../anchor/tm.htm
Just talked to the HH/JR-warranty tech and have been informed that the radio was shipped back two days ago (no call from them informing what was done) and that the horizontal/vertical lines on the display at shot-off are normal and the display was only adjusted but not replaced.
For those of you that have/had owned a JR-10X radio did you have those lines at shot-off on the display?
At this point I have only three options:
-smash the POS to bits and I will swallow the $800 loss
-put it on E-bay for $0.001 and tell people NOT to buy the Junk Radio (JR) since is a lemon out-of-the-box and WILL crash your ship, or
-pack it up and send it to JR Radio Div. VP/CEO (Japan) as a gift to put it on the mantle next to that Samurai sword.
Need your input please.

My 9303 does what your 10X does in the left photo, i.e. the horizontal line on shut down. Why are you worried about what it does when you turn it off? Just curious. This does not seem to affect the operation when it is on.
