Default HITEC HS77's ------ ANY GOOD ??

I need 4 low profile servos for the ailerons on a 1.60 powered bipe. These servos LOOK perfect for the job but I have had other Hitec servos that were less than satisfactory. Any comments on the HS77 servos ? The alternatives ( JR or Futaba ) are 3 times the cost, but if I must, I guess I must.

Thanks ....................

I guess they can't be very good, no one has ever used them.

I have a set in my wings of 40 size profile plane with 100 runs with no problems I bought some used on E-bay one had a bad motor and after sending it back to Hitec they replaced it for free with a new one. I probably saved my plane at least 10 times with the fast roll over rate they are pretty fast. Give them a try just try and draw the line with 40 size planes you put them in. Some of the 60 and up size 3-D planes Have large surfaces to move and keep the motor working hard failure could result. SL

I use Hitec in most of my 1/4 scale planes and never had a problem. I'm using 2 HS 77BB's on the tail for elevator control of a 1/4 Scale Edge 540 and I'm using a HS 77 BB on the rudder of my Velox Rev II. I have tons of command over these surfaces.
I'm using HS 605's on the wings for ailerons and I also have a HS 645 MB on the rudder of the Edge 540.
Lots of confidence in Hitec here. The decision is entirely up to you though....after all, it's your plane.
