Default Airtronics RD6000 Super switches

Trying to swap the flight mode switches, and read that one guy had to machine a wrench to do it, does anyone have any tricks on how to get these nuts off the top of the switches?? Is it just me?? What's the deal here?

Just had a look at mine...assuming they're the same ones (smooth, almost dome-like with a notch on opposite sides)... they do look they'd be a real %^&%%^* to remove!

Here's a suggestion. First, get an extra set of hands and two small screwdrivers. While the extra hands hold the TX upright, put the blades of the screwdrivers into the notches and see if you can push on both of them hard enough to get the nut to move.

Good luck!

That's what they look like, but I've tried already.

toggle switches will always have a regular hex nut on the other side of what it's mounted to. since you have to open the case you'll have access to these and once loosened a bit the dress nut comes off with you fingers. and if you can't get a tool in there then just grab the switch housing and gently twist it back and forth (it should have a few degrees of freedom) while keeping CCW pressure on the outer dress nut.

Now that Im thinking about it, why are you even messing with it? Cant you just cut the wires inside and switch them between the switches you want? --Of course let someone who knows what they are doing do it.

No you can't just cut the wires cause one switch is a 3 pos switch and the other is a two, anyway thanks guys I got it last night finally after sticking a screw driver in the notch and hamering it to unscrew it.
