Default 8103 throttle Curve?

I have programed a throttle curve on mix 2 which is a five point mix. Am I right in thinking that the horizontal axis of the graph would be the so called neutral point of the curve and you would therefore be adjusting to either greater or lesser movement from that point?

The closer to the midline would then cause less stress on the servo and linkage?
