Default Anyone using the Hitec HPD-07RH Receiver?

I've got a QPCM eclipse 7. I'm building a slightly more expensive gas plane over the winter, and I want to use this PCM RX with it. There isn't alot of people using it it looks like. I just want to know what everyones experiences are with it, good or bad? I'm thinking about just upgrading to a futaba 9c and using their good 148 RX, but I'd like to just keep my eclipse if possible.

I also have an Eclipse 7 Tx and use the QPCM receiver.

The thing I like is there is almost no chance of being shot down.

A friend of mine who also has the Eclipse 7 working on the same frequency
could not even git my control surfaces to wiggle with out enabling the QCPM feature. Responce is excellent and I've had ZERO trouble in 10 months.

I've been flying my 4*60 this entire season with an Eclipse 7 and a QPCM receiver. Not a single problem. Not a single glitch. I already purchased another Hitec QPCM receiver for my GP Patty Wagstaff.

I have three of them, for my Heli's

getting a fourth,

hits, feel okay, just kinda keeps going in a direction for a few seconds. Depends on the type and Length of hit.

I had a guy with a cell phone ringing next to me and the heli next to me and it glitched it. But just sorta floated down and then I regained control. so it did not flip over or do anything strange just kept going in the direction it was pointed and started dropping gently. I have mine set to go to 30% power so I drop out of the sky slowly. but on ground with training gear it has enough power to keep rolling so you have to hope you regain control quickly. The most I've seen it glich for is about 15 feet (3-4 seconds).

But I have had hits for only 1 to 2 seconds to that are barley noticible. who knows how many hits you really get if they are quick enough you would not even know it. But then you wouldn't know it with a regular receiver either I suppose.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I also have an Eclipse and was wondering if I would be ok using a PPM or would it just be wise to get a QPCM rx. I haven't had any problems with the PPM in my SE 5a with a G-38, but I am installing a BME in another bird. I understand the EI engines emit more rf noise. Any opinions?

Bhole

I always suggest either the QPCM or PCM. Whichever your radio supports

Rather safe than real sorry

I have hpd-07rh QPCM receiver and I love it... I used it in one of my planes all last season with not even a glitch. I would love to buy a couple more for this season and replace some older Rx in a couple of my other planes. One problem.... Where are they all!!! They seem to be back ordered everywhere!!!! []

Gumhead,
I think I saw some for 120.00

Hobbypeople said they were gonna get them in a month ago. I'm not sure if they ever did. I ended up getting spectrum DX6.

Good luck on your quest.

JD
