Hitec 555 5ch receiver-adding ch 6,7 or 8
Is it possible as it is with the Hitec 535 to add leads to the 555 receiver and get channel 6, 7 or 8?
If anyone knows please let me know what pins on the IC to solder to get the extra channels.
Thanks,
Jim

Locate the CD4015 decoder. Remove pin 14 from pin 11. Connect pin 14 to pin 8.
Pin 12 = Chnl 6
Pin 11 = Chnl 7
Pin 2 = Chnl 8
Use female servo connectors on short pigtails. Servo signals go to the CD4015 pins listed above. Servo (+) and Servo Gnd leads go to the power buss (along with the other servo connectors).
Takes about one hour. Cost is minimal. The required skill level is moderate-high.

That is good news. I've done this sort of hack to the other Rx brands too (procedure differs on some).
It looks like it took you only five minutes. That is a record.
