JR/Graupner MX-22 Availability?
Does anyone know if we can we get the MX-22 in 72MHz? If so, where?
Also, it is unclear in the literature whether this radio is menu-selectable 10 ch. PCM AND 12 ch. PPM, or if you have to order it as one or the other from the factory. Anyone know?
Thanks.

George
look at my post in the JR support forum under the heading "Why doesn't JR make a dual conversion FM receiver for under $200"
And then, hit the links I provided and study the graupner radio page. There, you will find a pdf copy of a review on the MX-22.
It contains all you need to know.
Cheers

RE: JR/Graupner MX-22 Availability?
Thank fiery,
I've read the review a couple of times, and I guess there is a little ambiguity for me. Although the review mentions a 36 MHz module, it is not clear if that is all that is/will be available. Same applies to PCM 10 ch. mode or PPM 12 ch. mode. The review says the radio can "handle" several modes, but I wasn't sure if that was selectable within the programming or if one has to specify the desired mode when ordering. Do you know and can you clarify?
I guess I should have posted this in JR support forum, but I'm not sure how much JR will comment since it does not appear to be available in the U.S. directly.
Regards,

You can change the MX-22 from 35mHz to 72mHz for $55.

Thanks, theox.
I didn't realize you could simply swap out a 36 MHz module for a 72 MHz one- I figured the radio itself might restrict what band you could use.

Hi George
The radio transmission options are selectable (built in to the set).
Z PCM
S PCM
PPM/FM
PPM/FM - 12 ch Graupner FM receiver
I haven't tried them all, but I have no problem with S PCM or standard PPM/FM, which are the receivers have on hand.
Hope this helps.
