Default base loaded antenna qustion

I have what appears to be a base loaded antenna, but i dont know how good it is. it is annodized purple aluminum with the letters "QWW" engraved on the top. does anyone know what i am taking about? does anyone know if it is any good?

The easiest way to find out is to install it and do a range check.

I have used (and still do use ) Hayes base loaded antennas. I have had excellent results with them and have little (if any) loss of range.

Hi
It sounds like the Quick UK one. I use one on my long ranger fixed to the skid strut. So far no problems.
