Default Plantraco DSP4-SC

My friend and I bought one each of these reveivers . We are not using them now because if while flying you get interference the servo's go hard all the way to one side for a split second and then back to neutral . We walked the receiver around two different fields and at the same point both radios would go nuts .
If you are flying close to the ground ( within 5 feet or so ) then you are in trouble . After emailing Bob at the company a few times he claims that there is no problem and he has not had any other complaits about it .
Is anyone else having this sort of problem with these radios ?

Is that the one with the speed control built in? If so, I have one, and I'm quite impressed with it. With virtually ANY receiver, if you get interference, and you are within 5 feet of the ground, you are in trouble!!! I don't know what you are expecting, but my Plantraco is a great little receiver.

All I fly now is Berg receivers and I never have a glitch .
A lot of the time I am but a foot off the deck and everyone has to land .

I've never had a glitch with my Plantraco either. I also have a Berg, several Futaba's and some Hitec receivers. I still feel that installation has a lot to do with how glitch free a system is. Some people seem to think that as long as it works a little bit, the product is at fault, but it could be the installation just as easily. Some receivers will mask problems, and then one day you have a catastrophic failure because everything went wrong at once. Personally, I'd rather make sure the installation is as problem free as possible.

That sounds just like what I heard from Plantraco .
We had two of them at our field and they both did the same thing .
Walked them around the field without the motor on at two differnt fields and they
did the same thing in the same spot , while some one else was holding the radio .
Between the two radio's they crashed beyond repair 5 planes .
I have been modeling for 45 years and flying RC for 25 years .
My buddy that had the other receiver has been in RC for 38 years .
We probably had the installation correct

Obviously your mind is made up, so I won't bother with trying to change it with facts. I like my Plantraco, I hated my Futaba 127 until it was fixed, but I certainly wasn't stupid enough to lose 5 planes to it.

Stupid is as stupid writes

You know you sound very much like one of the people I spoke to at Plantraco .
And thats why I will never buy another of there products .
And why I thought it might be a good idea to tell people about them .
Say you don't work for them do you ?
If you want to change some ones mind on a product for the better you might try talking nice .

This was my son's receiver and for awhile I thought he was messing up , on the thrid plane I stopped him and
flew it myself and found that I owed him an apology . Same thing with the 2 my friend went through . The
first two were purchased from a dealer and they made the other three themselves .

You seem to write before you ask . Thank you for not writing again .
