Default Is it ok to use a Futaba servo with a Tower Hobbies reciever?

I was wondering if I could use a futaba radio with all of my other electronics being tower hobbies brand. What are some of the bad points of doing this?

The Tower Hobbies receiver is a Futaba 127DF with a Tower sticker on it. If you want to save a few more bucks, get the Hobbico 7 channel receiver. Which is a Futaba 127DF receiver with a Hobbico sticker on it.

I would guess "no". My understanding is that the RF section in the radio is different and the crystal only determines the channel within the band. Radios with plug in modules can go from band to band because the necessary electronics are in the module.

There is a manufacturers support sub-forum for JR at the top of the 'radio' forum. You can get a definite answer there.
