Default PCM9X Range

Hi

I would like to know what is the distance btween the PCM9 TX and a PCM RX with the antenna retarcted?

I tested 50 steps there was no signal, once the antenna got extended it was fine.

Is there any KNOWN ways to test the range? ( range check procedure )

Thanks 'n' Regards

With antenna down you should get at least 100 feet without any interference whatsoever. Even though it's PCM, the transmitter still only puts out a 1/4 watt of power therefore rated at about a mile range with the antenna fully extended. PCM is the same as FM except PCM eliminates all foreign radiowaves between Tx and Rx making it glitch free. The only time it will glitch if someone is directly on your channel.
